Argh - “Broadband Britain”
Really - this is driving me nuts. Trying to watch some stuff on the iPlayer and I’m lucky if I get about 10 seconds in before it buffers. Turns out with a quick speed test I’m getting somewhere on average between 300Kbs and 600Kbs bandwidth. I mean - seriously - what is going on? It’s not as though I live in the middle of the highlands, I’m about a mile from the exchange. Maybe it’s the stone age telephone poles we’ve got carrying the cables everywhere - maybe it’s the snow - maybe it’s a 20 year old router they’ve got up in the exchange… I don’t know… and frankly I don’t care what the reason is… but I want my bandwidth gorjamit! I know 4Mbs is nothing nowadays but I’d be over the moon with that. I’m ready to push the button on BT Vision but at this rate it’ll be a spectacular waste of money.
